Jennifer Etnier
Jennifer Etnier, Ph.D., is
an Associate Professor and Interim Head of the Department of Exercise and Sport
Science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She conducts research in
the area of exercise psychology and in the area of sport psychology. Her sport
psychology research has been designed to look at attentional
patterns in sport skill performance, parameters of imagery that
impact performance outcomes, the effects of the learning environment on
sport performance outcomes, and achievement goal orientations of adult
competitive athletes. Dr. Etnier is a member of
the United States Soccer Federation National Coaching Education Staff
(1998-present) and gives regular presentations at National Coaching Schools.
Dr. Etnier holds her B license and was a
volunteer assistant soccer coach at Wake
Forest University
(1995-1998), and she has also served as the Assistant to the Director (1998-1999)
and the Director (1993-1995) of Special Olympics Soccer for the state of Arizona.
